Winnie the Pooh Party Ideas

It was recently my son’s 2nd birthday and there’s only one theme that would do for our Winnie The Pooh obsessed little boy – a Winnie The Pooh party of course!

I love a party theme so I was more than happy to get on Amazon, get my Cricut out and set to work creating our very own Hundred Acre Wood in our back garden.

If you’re thinking of having the same, I’ve listed some of my favourite ideas down below, as well as links to where to buy the things you need.

Hundred Acre Wood Sign

This was so quick and easy to do and looked so effective!  The beauty of these signs are that they are both decor and are functional too so we made two signs:

– one for the garden that said Monty’s Hundred Acre Wood

– one for the front of the house that said Hundred Acre Wood This Way to direct people down the side of the house

All it needed was one bigger plank of wood with 3 smaller planks nailed or screwed onto it (the more rough and imperfect, the better!).  We actually reused signs we’d made for our son’s Teddy Bear Picnic party last year so I’d really recommend keeping them once you’ve made them.

I made some vinyl signs on my Cricut and simply used masking tape to stick them on to the wood.  I actually sell these custom vinyl labels on my own website, Soul & Stardust, so you can order some here if you need to.

If you want to pop them into the ground or a plant pot, you might want to make the bottom of the main plank pointed but we simply rested one up against our front porch and the other up against the gazebo and they stayed there without any issues for the duration of the party.

I loved creating these signs for the food!

I found some GREAT transparent Winnie the Pooh PNGs on this site which has ALL the characters – Tigger, Eeyore, Piglet, Owl, Kanga, Roo and more!  There’s over 1500 Winnie the Pooh ones and there’s plenty of other Disney ones to to use for any of your personal, non-commercial projects!

Decorative Bees for Cupcakes

I’m super lucky that I have a mum who is an amazing baker so I was really excited about these honey bee inspired cupcakes!

I chose these non-edible bee cupcake toppers (link here) because I just loved the look of them but I slighly regretted that when my partner told my friend they were edible!

If you want to be able to eat them then I love both these (link here) and these (link here) edible bee cupcake toppers on Amazon.

I went super simple with the cupcake cases and just used the gold and rose gold cases from this metallic selection.

To get the perfect honey colour for the buttercream, we used the a few drops of these food colourings in shades yellow and orange before we got the shade we wanted.  We then piped it onto the chocolate cupcakes using the large round nozzle from this set.

I’m so happy with how they turned out and they went down a treat with the guests!

Winnie The Pooh Cookies

What’s a Winnie The Pooh party without Winnie The Pooh cupcakes?!

I’m obsessed with these, they turned out SO well.

All credit goes to my mum using this cookie cutter and stamp set.  It makes it so easy.  You use the outer ring to cut out the cookie dough for the shape and then the middle stamp to emboss roll out icing and voila!

We used the same two food colourings mixed as the cupcakes to colour the icing and any white icing like this one will do.

To secure the icing to the biscuit, we just used this food-grade edible glue.

As you can tell, they looked AMAZING and the kids loved them!

Hunny Pots

As you saw above, we created signs for various bits of food on the table.  Rabbit’s Vegetable Garden consisted of pre-cut carrots and cucumber for dipping into dips and houmous.

I put the vegetables into these little plant pots to make it easy for people to pick up and carry one away if they wanted to.

Although they’re not strictly honey pots, I couldn’t resist making them look a bit more special and making some Hunny vinyl labels to stick on the plant pots.

I sell custom vinyl labels online on my website, Soul & Stardust, so click here if you want to order some instead of making them yourself.

I think they look pretty good!

Again, absolutely no credit goes to me here and all the credit goes to my mum but I am so in love with how the cake turned out!

It was a chocolate cake with white chocolate buttercream and the most important thing is it tasted INCREDIBLE but it also looked amazing too.

The stunning custom cake topper was bought here and I can’t tell you how brilliant the quality, packaging and presentation was.  A luxury unboxing experience for such a reasonably priced item.  I’d 1000% order from them again.

We used the same bees that we used for the cupcakes here as well to tie in the honey theme.

My mum MADE the amazing little hunny pot out of roll out icing and our trusty food colourings, and finally the dripping honey was achieved using these drip melts.
